18th Biennial Children's Medical Fund Luncheon

The 18th Biennial National Philoptochos Children's Medical Fund Luncheon was hosted by the Metropolis of Detroit Philoptochos on November 6, 2021 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, Indianapolis.  We were honored to have His Grace Bishop Athenagoras, our beloved Metropolitan Nicholas, National Philoptochos President Arlene Siavelis Kehl join us and Fox News correspondent, Mike Emanuel as our guest speaker. The event was planned by the Metropolis of Detroit Philoptochos Board, a dynamic group of women who hosted and planned a most successful and extraordinary Children's Medical Fund Luncheon. With resilience and hope and during a worldwide pandemic, the ladies of the Detroit Philoptochos soared to new heights and raised over $500,000 for children's hospitals and research programs. $278,000 was give out at the event to 12 grant recipients. Thank you to chairperson, Theone Dickos and tri-chairs Katherine Kotsis, Evanthia Valassiades and Margaret Yates, honoree chairperson Pam Argyris, the entire board and committees for their tireless efforts to benefit medically fragile and critically ill children.
